Providing Food Assistance to Our Neighbors in Need

Who We Are

The First Parish Newbury Food Pantry brings together residents who want to volunteer to help their neighbors. We serve the seven towns of Newbury, Newburyport, West Newbury, Salisbury, Rowley, Ipswich, and Georgetown and draw volunteers from these and other nearby towns. If you live outside of these towns, please visit www.gbfb.org/need-food/ for resources in your town.

Our 100% volunteer Food Pantry provides food to over 750 people each Friday and serves guests by assisting them with online ordering, filling orders, delivering groceries and offering contact-free pickup for those who have transportation.

We provide healthy, fresh food with compassion and respect to ALL who are in need. Place your order online or by phone (978-358-1077) from 8:00 AM Wednesday until noon on Thursday. Guests can select the food items that they need using our online ordering system.

The pantry, operating out of our new building at 20 High Road in Newbury, opens every Friday, offering both delivery and pickup options to meet our guest's needs.

In 2024, we filled 14,324 requests for food assistance and distributed over 539,000 pounds of food.

Volunteer

The First Parish Newbury Food Pantry relies on the generosity, time, and talents of over 250 volunteers to fulfill the first part of our mission: supplying nutritious food to individuals and families in need.

Providing ways for residents to help their neighbors comprises the second component of our mission and we take it just as seriously. You can help by volunteering, making a donation or organizing a food drive.
